The best way to attend the event is to drive to Liverpool/Heysham on the Friday, leave your vehicle at the ferry terminal, take the ferry to Douglas, Isle of Man as a foot passenger with your luggage and your mountain bike. The hotels used are within walking distance of the ferry terminal in Douglas, in the centre of the town. You will then be at liberty to spend Friday night and all of Saturday doing what you wish. There is bike storage at the hotels. You will then be transported to the start of the event on the Sunday morning, leaving your luggage with the organisers, complete the ride and then be conveyed back to Douglas. There is a buffet in Douglas on the Sunday evening before catching the ferry back to the mainland. The event comes highly recommended from all those at Crosstrax Cycles. "Ed" will be attending along with a team including Mark and Scott Thwaites who will be taking it seriously! Mark won the event last year (2007). The entry process is quite simple and it will be up to individuals to make their own arrangements. It is a very simple process and the easiest way to do this will be the package offered by Sleepwell Hotels.
